Orientation before my first clinical posting.

before i start the story , i would like to say something, its a bad feeling when people ignore your comment on their blog post, hrmph, its not fun being nice,fed up, so I've decided not to comment in that blog anymore! >:(

back to the topic,the orientation was about strengthening our basic nursing skills before we're send out to the hospitals for our practical.The orientation took about 5 days.

1st day - we did ice-breaking, introducing ourselves in front everyone, including why did we choose nursing as our career..blabla, the Clinical instructor (CI) did the same too, well, one of the CI had a same reason with me, and she managed to continue the career to a higher level! feels glad to hear it XD giving me more motivation~

2nd day -the CIs gave punishment to those who were late,dancing poco poco with a song named mr saxobeat whatsoever,so funny! after that the real practice came,all of us were divided into a few group and was sent to different station to learn different skills from the seniors. We did blood preassure,temperature,pulse,respiration rate (TPR),then learns about bed-making, perineum care( played with fake penis and fake vagina LOL),we also learned about handwashing and measuring height and weight.
 comment-- not really fun,my group members that day were the quiet quiet type..BORING,no fun lah.

3rd day- We were asked to bring pail,dipper,soap,shampoo,towel..as if we're going to camp! All of us wore loose tshirts and long pants,many students form other course look us with weird looks,kinda siasoi,haha!the aim of us bringing all these is to learn how to give bed bath to patients,do hair wash for them...then we were divided into a different group again,this time the group members are really fun!!Got 'ngam key' la,haha! we did bed bath and hair washing to each other, having people washing my hair~~ so relaxing,it was just like in a saloon and its makes me so sleepy!

4th day - CI talked about rules in hospital,bla blaa...and some some gossipS...and i think i forgot to mention this,the CIs are mean people,their mouth...aduh,make me speechless.We learned how to walk properly -.-'' (cat walking one by one),after lunch we practiced everything we've learn in the second day,and finally I managed to listen to blood pressure!!really really hard!*confidence level up a bit*

5th day- Some seniors from the psychiatric ward came, we listened to their stories about their first posting experience when they were sent to the ward, and also their experience of getting scolded by the CI (get stressed after listening to how mean the CI was,its real!)..then we did group performance(by batches) to end the orientation, prepared for only 15 minutes i think, we did chicken dance!!i think its the craziest performance among all XD who would ever think to do chicken dance in front of the CIs? haha! some groups even performed poco poco and their traditional dance, i saw aerobic exercise too XD so, my batch is the best!! We then listened to some senior's clinical posting's presentation...BORING. i actually asked a question that my senior can't answer,felt paiseh though,sorry neh,it's the CI who tell me to ask question XP blame her! haha!

so thats the story of my whole orientation week XD  gonna start my clinical posting next week,gambateneh!!!! hope i will not shoot by the CI, allergies to CI :(
